Abingdon Regatta 2000
Abingdon…..a report from Matt Whiting ! (To be read in conjunction with the Oxford Report)
Abingdon brought some better fortune for some crews. Success came in the form of S2 Women’s Singles, and a S1 Mixed Coxed Four. Unfortunately my crew, the S2 Four lost out to a ‘quite good’ Exeter four, who did go on to win the category, enabling me to kill some time by checking out the extensive car boot sale in the adjoining field!
In closing, the weekend may not have been a complete success, we came, we saw, and learned that there is a very high standard of competition on the Eastern circuit. Never mind, I’m sure Gloucester and Ross regattas will prove more fruitful, see you there!
